About Me

Who am I? Just somebody lucky enough to have enountered a life-changing school of massage. Much of my life has revolved around sport, specifically soccer, which has taken me around the world playing and coaching. More broadly, I have an affinity for movement, for exploring what the body (and mind) is capable of, for attempting to glimpse the horizons of those possibilites, and, above all, for learning ways to cultivate a healthy well-being for myself and others, that we might fully enjoy the gift of our bodies.

Several years ago, when I first moved to Thailand, I knew I had encountered something special the first time I experienced Thai massage under the hands of a highly capable therapist. It did not take long to see the awesome implications Thai massage has, not only as a means of regular health maintenance, but also specifically for the athletically inclined regarding injury re- and prehab.

As I transitioned out of playing soccer competitively, I started to consider studying Thai massage. After researching numerous schools in Chiang Mai, a good friend and well respected physiotherapist told me, "Don't even think about it, you need to go to SVG". He was absolutely right. I began at SVG as an eager and very inexperienced student; later on I had the great privilege of joining the staff as an assistant teacher. I have found a true gem of a school at SVG. I have found another home.
